Happy Christmas from all of us at Chancellor

By Chancellor

As the holiday season approaches, we’d like to take a moment to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Please note that our office will be closed from 12 pm on 24 December to 9 am on 2 January 2025.

We look forward to working with you again in the new year!

Supporting Bolton Food Bank: Our commitment to the community

In a world where many face food insecurity, it is crucial for communities to come together and support those in need.

This year for Christmas, our office has chosen to lend a helping hand to a vital local organisation: Bolton Food Bank. We believe that every contribution counts, and we’re excited to help people who need it the most.

Supporting Centrepoint this Christmas

In the spirit of giving, we have made the decision to forgo sending traditional Christmas cards this year. Instead, we’re making a donation to Centrepoint, an organisation that supports vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness. We believe that together we can help make a difference to the lives of those in need during this festive season.

Welcome aboard: Linsey Tracey

We are excited to announce that Linsey has joined Chancellor as our new administrator.

Meet Linsey

“I joined Chancellor last month as an administrator and the team have been very welcoming.

“I have been in the profession since leaving college more than 25 years ago, working as an administrator with Standard Life in Manchester, then moving on to Aviva in Liverpool. Following redundancy at Aviva, I moved over to the financial advice side of the sector, where I’ve been for the last 10 years. I love being an administrator and plan to continue in the role until retirement (which is still a few years off!).

“Outside of work, I am a massive Liverpool Football Club fan and although I’m no longer a season ticket holder, I still go over to Anfield a few times each season to watch my beloved reds. My daughter even has the initials ‘LFC’ and I would say is a bigger fan than me these days. With my husband being a Leicester City fan, our house is one to avoid on two weeks of the season!

“My husband also works as a financial adviser and I met him back when I worked at Standard Life, but we didn’t get together until 20 years later. It was obviously meant to be.

“Besides football, I like the simple things in life. My ideal day would be to get up early for a nice long walk, involving coffee and cake, then home to read a good book for a few hours, with a roast dinner (preferably cooked by someone else) and ending the day with a comedy or quiz show on the telly! I love a quiz show, Only Connect being my current favourite now that I’ve mastered the missing vowels round.

“I’m looking forward to the future with Chancellor, learning their processes and expanding my knowledge, as well as getting to know the clients.”
